Join us at the Chautauqua Auditorium to see our performance of the Nutcracker Ballet! Danceworks is excited to spread some Christmas Cheer!

The Nutcracker Tea was started by Jennifer Stevens in 2014 to give students and the community a chance to get a glimpse into the Nutcracker Ballet. She wanted this to be a fun day for families to spend time together with Christmas Cheer. Our dancers work very hard to prepare for this performance. We perform pieces of the Nutcracker Ballet, including Snowflakes, Sugar Plums, Mother Ginger Dolls, and more!

A portion of the proceeds go to the Jennifer Stevens Scholarship to honor Miss Jennifer. The Jennifer Stevens Memorial Scholarship was started in honor of Miss Jennifer. She choreographed 27 musicals with the Waxahachie Theatre Department and was such a blessing to the department. This scholarship will go to a dancer or chorus member in the theatre department to help fund their future education and endeavors.

We unexpectedly lost Miss Jennifer in 2018 and we miss her every day. We are so thankful to continue Miss Jennifer's legacy at Danceworks and give back to her scholarship through the Nutcracker Tea.
